Cairn Counseling supports youth and adults who have experienced trauma, with a specific emphasis on working with queer and transgender/nonbinary clients. We value providing effective therapy regardless of ability to pay, and thus take insurances including (at the time of publishing) United, Bloomquist Hale, Kaiser, Medicare, Rocky Mountain Health Plan, Colorado Access, CCHA, Medicaid, Denver Health Medical Plan, Denver Health Medicaid, Optum, Optum EAP, and Corporate Counseling Associates medical plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions for children and adults

• Specialize in trauma-informed care, offering support to clients dealing with various trauma-related issues

• Create a safe and inclusive environment for clients, with a focus on supporting LGBTQ individuals

• Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care

• Attend regular supervision and professional development opportunities

• Actively participate in administrative duties during paid administrative hours

Qualifications:

• Licensed Therapist with expertise in trauma work

• Pre-licensed therapist will be considered

• Experience working with children and adults

• Sensitivity and understanding of LGBTQ issues

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

• Commitment to ongoing professional development

• Adherence to ethical and legal standards in therapy practice

Desired Qualifications:

• Training in working with youth

• Training or openness to training in working with queer and transgender youth

• Training in working with trauma

Compensation:

• Salary: $54 per hour to start, salary structure once the caseload grows to 10+ clients per week

• Paid administrative hours included
